We Party Sober Club

The mission of We Party Sober! is to create a forum for like minded individuals seeking a to meet and find each other in a substance-free environment.

A substance-free club is needed at Green Mountain College because those students who do want to maintain a substance-free lifestyle have been having a difficult time finding others like them. In college there is hype to drink and party and many people think that there is nothing “fun” to do without drinking or using drugs. The assumed drug use rate at GMC is much higher than it actually is, meaning many students think they are alone with their substance-free decision when in reality there are many more students like them. The club will offer freshmen students new to the college experience a chance engage in college life without using substances.

We Party Sober! will bring a positive environment for students wishing to engage in substance-free activities. The club will unite students who wish to maintain substance-free whether for personal, religious, or medical reasons. Those who are recovering from substance abuse are welcomed, as are those who want to limit their use of substances.

Proposed activities for this semester include: dinners, bowling, game night, cooking classes, movie night, and karaoke night. We Party Sober! meets THURSDAYS…@8:00PM in the Gorge.
