Jose M. Calhoun Learning Center offers academic resources for students

The Jose M. Calhoun Learning Center, located on the third floor of the Griswold Library, offers numerous resources for students looking for extra help with their work. The LC teaches the English as a Foreign Language program and offers academic counseling and skills workshops on note-taking, test taking, time management, college writing, and computer applications, and in the fall offers.
Even if students do not attend a workshop, all are encouraged to go to the Learning Center to take advantage of the peer tutor program. Whether proofreading a paper, fleshing out an outline for a project, or just providing a listening ear, the tutors (whose pictures appear on the wall of the LC) on shift make themselves available to students to help in anyway they can. A lot of the services provided by the Learning Center are underused, but why not go? You’re paying for it anyway.
